Based on a PYO fruit farm, our Outdoor Kitchen Project for schools and groups aims to give children an insight into local, seasonal produce and encourage learning with scavenger hunts, planting and growing, and outdoor cooking skills.

Teddy Bears Picnic
Come on a foodie treasure hunt and prepare your own woodland themed teddy bears picnic lunch...cook some delicious treats on the campfire and make your own mini spoon puppets to take home. A perfect workshop for little people! Suitable for 2 - 6 years.
Can you stomach a bug pie, mud pie? Get creative in the woodland kitchen and design your own wiggly, squirmy, twisty, twirly sweet treats to enjoy around the campfire. Are you brave enough to taste a REAL crunchy critter? Plus, make a slimy clay bug and test your bug hunting skills in the undergrowth! A great workshop for lively and hungry groups! Suitable for all ages.
Forage for foodie treats (seasonal only) and cook your own pizza in the woods in our fabulous uuni pizza ovens. Finish off with some scrumptious pud and homemade lemonade, plus mini herb garden planting crafts. Suitable for 5 years +.
Wild Food Survival!
Can you survive in the wild, build a fire, carve your own tools, purify drinking water and forage for a delicious wilderness feast? A challenging and hands-on day of bushcraft basics with a yummy finale! Suitable for 5 years +. Groups of 15 or less only. GroWild team only.
Outdoor Kitchen - 6 Week Programme
Focusing on seasonal produce, we can deliver weekly or monthly sessions across the year. Children will experience outdoor food prep, survival techniques, fire building, flora and fauna ID, local food tasting, bushcraft and wilderness cookery PLUS cook their own seasonal treats. Each session is supported with a recipe and learning card so that teachers and children can track their progress and learning.
Workshop length: Full day, half day and six week programme options.
Suitable for: Packages tailored for all ages.
Prices: From £325 for up to 30 children, for a full day workshop. Please note; prices are dependant on activities and recipes, all groups are quoted individually during the booking process.

What’s included: Each workshop includes all ingredients, activities and a recipe card for children/groups to take home or back to the classroom. Marshmallows around the campfire plus juice/water and tea/coffee available for adults and children.
