An outdoor weekly toddler group for ages 1-5 years…
WildTots! Join us this Winter for some snuggly, splashy and muddy woodland play at GroWild. Each session is unique, and our fully qualified forest school leaders will always have a full set of activities planned whatever the weather. We think it is the perfect place for children to connect with nature – good old fashioned woodland play with plenty of marshmallow scoffing, mud pies, nature crafts and campfire stories and songs...

Plan your fun! All of our sessions are centred around child-led exploration and play as much as possible. BUT we also like to try new ideas each week and start each session with a theme and some guided activities for parents to enjoy with their children. Take a peek below to get an idea of what we will be getting up to over the next few weeks!
(31st Oct & 2nd Nov) Wobbly Brooms & Witches: Make a nature inspired magic broom and whizz around the woods. Search for squirmy bugs and find the largest worm for a sparkly mud pie potion! Inspired by the well known story 'Room on the Broom' by Julia Donaldson, our most popular session will be full of story magic and creative play.
(7th & 9th Nov) Bonfire Lights & Lanterns: Make a nature inspired magic lantern, cook some apple treats and fizz a sparkler around the campfire. Loud bangs and noise free Guy Fawkes celebrations for little people!
(14th & 16th Nov) Hibernating Hedgehogs: Join us as we say goodnight to Mr. Hedgehog and his woodland friends around the story tree in time for winter. Puppet making, popcorn campfire snacks and snuggly leaf houses in the woods.
(21st & 23rd Nov) Robin Redbreast: Christmas season is nearly here and our resident robin redbreast will be back with tales of his long journey. Bird feeders, tool work and feathery nest building in the wintery woods.
(28th & 30th Nov) Fireside Stories: A free play celebration at the end of the winter term with extra stories and music making. Mixed activities from the previous sessions with favourites, gooey campfire cake and mulled apple juice to enjoy together! See you there!
