An outdoor weekly toddler group for ages 1-5 years…
WildTots! Blow out the cobwebs and get set for a new year in the woods! Join us in 2019 for some wintery, splashy and muddy woodland play at GroWild and snuggle with storytime in our new woodland yurt (with fire!).
Each session is unique, and our fully qualified forest school leaders will always have a full set of activities planned whatever the weather. We think it is the perfect place for children to connect with nature – good old fashioned woodland play with plenty of marshmallow scoffing, mud pies, nature crafts and campfire stories and songs...

Plan your fun! All of our sessions are centred around child-led exploration and play as much as possible. BUT we also like to try new ideas each week and start each session with a theme and some guided activities for parents to enjoy with their children. Take a peek below to get an idea of what we will be getting up to over the next few weeks!
(16th & 18th Jan) Jack Frost: Can you help us find cheeky Jack Frost in the woods? Ice and water play, snow painting and a mini trail in the woods to look for some sparkly magic! Plus stories in the yurt with a cosy campfire to keep us warm.
(23rd & 25th Jan) Stick Man Stories: Our favourite stick story is back! Find out about the great oak tree, create your own stick family tree and build a giant muddy river. Marshmallows and hot chocolates to finish!
(30th Jan & 1st Feb) Snowy Night Creatures: The woodland ranger has to make room for the chilly creatures this winter. Can you help us make some silly sock nests, mix up a hot cocoa and build a giant den to keep fox and squirrel warm?
(6th & 8th Feb) Over & Under: Discover bird nests in the sky and burrows in the ground. Habitat building and woodland creature tracking outdoors finished with nature songs in the yurt.
(13th & 15th Feb) Gruffalo Crumble: No woodland play would be complete without a visit from the snoozing Gruffalo! Help us to wake him up on our story trail, mix up some scrambled snake in the mud pie kitchen and make your own mini mouse to take home. PLUS enjoy our famous (delicious!) campfire crumble. Yummy!
