Family workshops for your wild tribe! Join us for games, challenges, adventures and skills in our beautiful woodland camp.

With a different theme each month, spend time together and learn new skills. From foraging and fires to archery and campfire stories we will be working together in tribes to create, make, build and shared experiences. Each session will focus on a different skill including knives and axes, fire building, campfire cookery, archery, music, bushcraft basics and MORE! It’s time to re-wild…

TREE SCULPTURE!

Nature crafts using willow, inspiring land art challenges and muddy nature paint potions. A relaxed and creative session for families to work together and create a beautiful willow sculpture to take home.

Times: 10.00am - 1.00pm (3 hr session)

Ages: 5 - 99 years

Prices:

Family of two: One adult, one child: £22.50 per session 

Family of four:  Two adults, two children OR one adult, three children: £45 per session

Additional child or adult booking: £12.50


WHAT’S ON:

24th March: Survival Shelter: Discover shelter building using natural materials from the woodland, plus make your own pegs with basic tool work and learn some awesome knot skills. By the end of the session you will be able to create a debris shelter that is wind and waterproof, finished off with a warming campfire soup and hot chocolate!

28th April: Drum Beats: Woodland inspired rhythms around the campfire drumming circle! Musical games, beats and foot stomping sounds. Plus, have a go at making your own rhythm sticks using woodland materials. A relaxed and imaginative session suitable for beginners.

26th May: Archery Challenge: Have a go on the woodland archery range and show us your competitive streak! Games and skills for families plus learn to make your own bow with green woodworking, simple knots and tree ID knowledge. A fun and relaxed session for all. 

23rd June: Tree Sculpture: Nature crafts using willow, inspiring land art challenges and muddy nature paint potions. A relaxed and creative session for families to work together and create a beautiful willow sculpture to take home.

21st July: Fire & Feast: Learn to prepare a game or fish for the fire, gather and forage simple woodland ingredients and try some delicious wild teas! Plus have a go at some fire lighting basics and fire build techniques. 

18th Aug: Archery Challenge: Have a go on the woodland archery range and show us your competitive streak! Games and skills for families plus learn to make your own bow with green woodworking, simple knots and tree ID knowledge. A fun and relaxed session for all.

22nd Sep: Fire & Feast: Learn to prepare a game or fish for the fire, gather and forage simple woodland ingredients and try some delicious wild teas! Plus have a go at some fire lighting basics and fire build techniques. 

20th Oct: Bushcraft Basics: An ideal session to finish the year with some bushcraft skills. Knife work, tree ID, shelter build, fire lighting and campfire treats. Problem solving and team building for tribes who love the outdoors! 


GOOD TO KNOW…

  • Sessions are set in the GroWild woods at White House Farm. With access to private woodland space and tree cover canopy.

  • Workshops are facilitated by fully qualified forest school leaders and assistants. The sessions focus on outdoor skills with plenty of opportunity for creative and team play. There will be various activities on site and children will be able to choose to work to their ability/zone of comfort.

  • Younger children are welcome but activities are aimed at 5 Years +.

  • All children and adults must purchase a full price ticket with the exception of babes in arms (free to attend).

  • All attendees will need appropriate clothing and snack/water for the session. A full list of info will be supplied after booking.

  • Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and water/juice supplied during the session.
